Welcome to Porc Therapy - it's a talk show about happiness and freedom. On Porc Therapy, host Stephanie Murphy explores an ecclectic mix of topics, all of which fall under the umbrella of ways that we can all free our minds and attain more liberty in our lives.

This was great! I have been looking for more references on Mutual Aid and am seeking to start a college club with Mutual Aid principles. You mentioned “Markets, not Capitalism” and Petr Kropotkin’s “Mutual Aid”, and I know about “From Mutual Aid to the Welfare State”, but do you know more resources I could look into?

Hi Dylan, thanks for your comment! Good luck with your college club… I love the sound of your project. In addition to the resources you mentioned, Sheldon Richman also gave a great talk about Mutual Aid (here: http://www.fee.org/media/mutual-aid/). I can’t think of too much more in the way of specific resources. I got most of the material in my talk by just googling for them. :)

I enjoyed this talk, and I look forward to the video version.
I noticed, however, that when Stephanie is speaking off the cuff, there is a lot of uh’s, um’s, and similar filler sounds. They are very noticeable after a while. I hope she will learn to avoid using these fillers. Simple silence is much better than uh, um, er, etc.
Best regards,

Steven, glad you enjoyed the talk. I try to avoid the fillers, but, um, I’m not perfect.
